This has necessitated the work of various nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) across the country. The push for financial sustainability introduced a degree of uncertainty into the relationship nongovernmental organizations maintain with their members. The authors investigated how strategic financial management, paradigm shift in programming, internal financial funding, strategic alliances and organization structure contribute towards financial sustainability of nongovernmental organizations in Kenya. From the Study,there is need for NGOs to critically strategize on their financial sustainability as the environment of their operation is changing very fast and the needs of NGOs are increasing by day due to changes like global climatic changes, disasters like earth quakes, diseases and social evils like drug abuse.
