LAP Lambert Academic Publishing The present book leads to a comprehensive understanding of the basic techniques used for the isolation, purification and maintenance of the culture of Sprirulina and Chlorella. The detailed protocols for the enhancement of biomass and nutritional contents in two selected algae viz. Sprirulina and Chlorella under the influence of three types of magnetic fields (MF1, MF2 and MF3) have been described. Significant increment in terms of the growth, protein contents and other selected parameters were recorded in both the algae with the applied magnetic field.
