Chronic kidney disease has become worldwide public health problem. In the past almost all attempts to treat the symptoms of chronic renal failure and lower serum urea levels by a way other than the traditional renal replacement therapy relied entirely on reducing nitrogen intake by restricting dietary proteins. Clinically useful urea lowering agents has not been tried. The possibility of lowering serum urea levels by the addition of a new dietary therapy with aim of lowering urea represents a breakthrough in the management of chronic renal failure. The aim of this book is to describe a new dietary therapeutic approach for the management of chronic renal failure that help in lowering urea, the toxic substance in chronic renal failure.
