Gynecological Specimens forms the substantial proportion of workload in histopathological departments of most of the laboratories. Carcinoma of the cervix is the most common cancer in Indian women and accounts for about 20% of all malignant tumors in the females, therefore it is necessary to diagnose and treat these lesions at the earliest in order to save the people from this dreadful malignancy. Worldwide, invasive cervical cancer is the second most common female malignancy after breast cancer. Histopathological examination of biopsies from cervical lesions and hysterectomy specimens is the gold standard in their diagnosis.
