Glutamic Acid As Antineoplastic Agent

128 страниц. 2014 год.
LAP Lambert Academic Publishing
The investigation on glutamic acid analogs as possible antineoplastic agents started in the laboratories in the seventies. In continuation of this line of work several substituted amines were prepared and evaluated biologically. The main focus of this reaction work was to synthesize analogs of glutamic acid and look for their better antineoplastic activity. The structure of the synthesized compounds were confirmed and characterized with the help of IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, Mass spectra and elemental analysis. For the docking we have taken the protein Histone Deacetylase (HDAC) and identified the glutamic acid analogs that were used against Cancer. Here, out of 10 glutamic acid analogs, 6 better active analogs energy value was determined. The synthesized analogs were evaluated for their potential antineoplastic activity both in-vitro and in-vivo. The in-vitro activity was performed against five human cell lines like human breast cancer (MCF-7), leukemia (K-562), ovarian cancer (OVACAR-3),...
