LAP Lambert Academic Publishing After thirty years of its invention, the T-Scan system, a computerized occlusal analyzer, seems to be the answer in diagnosing and treating patients with occlusion-related temporomandibular disorders. This book is based on a Health Technology Assessment that includes a review of the diagnostic, clinical and economic features of the T-Scan system. Evidence indicates that the T-Scan system is far more accurate and reliable than the conventional methods of occlusal analysis such as the articulating paper. Furthermore, the T-Scan system is able to record quantitative data on occlusal force and contact timing, which cannot be achieved through conventional occlusal registration techniques.
