A novel antibiotic Bacilysocin, with phospholipid structure has been produced by marine isolate CMB-3 under the optimised conditions. Similarly, KMB-1 produced pyridinum based antibiotic. This is a new addition to the family of Pyridinium compounds and first report of it from a marine bacteria.
