There is a great need to discover alternate sources of antibiotics especially the natural sources like plant having no or little side effects. The book comprise of the experiment conducted on Ginger, Cumin, Nigella, Aniseed, Ajwain for their antimicrobial potential against some of the disease causing drug resistant pathogenic bacteria(E.coli, S.aureus, P.aeruginosa, B.spp) also comparing their antimicrobial property. The primary aim of the book is to provide the students and the Researchers involved in study of medicinal property of plants, information regarding medicinal importance of some of the daily used Spices and Herbs. This type of work will help evaluate the potentials of plants as a possible source of natural substitute to the chemically prepared antibiotics.
