As network and mobile technology rapidly advances and becomes increasingly accessible, our expectations about accessing information anywhere and anytime are raised. Surprisingly, despite its importance, existing weather information services do not provide the quality of real-time localized information that people have come to expect from other services. This project concerns the design of an appropriate architecture for a new-style weather information service system, focusing on real time and interaction, which exploits the most recent advances in mobile database and related technologies.
